Oke, aku kasih tau ya, 'Adjektiva' atau kata sifat merupakan kata yang menjelaskan kata benda. Ia memiliki akhiran sehingga mudah dikenali seperti -able seperti pada preferable, reasonable, visible, marketable; -ful seperti pada beautiful, harmful, useful; -ic atau -ical seperti pada economical, historical, allergic, nonsensical; -ish seperti Danish, greenish, tallish; -ive seperti abortive, massive, restive; -less seperti nameless, restless, endless, speechless; dan -like seperti ladylike, manlike, warlike. Selain itu kata sifat memiliki bentuk-bentuk komparatif dan superlatif dengan penambahan akhiran -er atau -est atau more atau the most pada kata sifat seperti pada contoh berikut ini :

• She taller than I am
• She is more beautiful than Anna
• Andi is the smartest in his class
• Wati is the most talkactive in her family
• She is asleep
• They are awake
• They are alike
• She is alone
• He is ashamed
• We are aware

Secara fungsional kata sifat berfungsi sebagai predikatif dan atributif. fungsi predikatif dapat terjadi ketika ia berada setelah verba seperti yang dapat kita pelajari pada beberapa contoh berikut ini :

• The students of BSY are smart and diligent
• The manager is considerably dishonest
• Some are fair and responsible
• F.O. at BSY is fair and professional

Selain sebagai predikatif kata sifat juga berfungsi sebagai atributif; biasanya ia berada sebelum nomina seperti yang ditunjukkan oleh kalimat-kalimat berikut ini :

• Andi is a kind person
• Marzal is a nice guy
• Sugeng is funny boy
• Supangat is a responsive person
• Vica is a helpful front officer
• Wajiran is a nice lecturer
• Muhammad is a lenky man
